JOANNA KAI

Born and raised in Lebanon, Joanna Kai is a photographer and filmmaker whose work often explores the little corners and gestures of everyday life, drawing on the relation between the mundane and the extraordinary. The photographer’s work is inspired by feelings of alienation and culminates in a desire, even a need, to re-imagine, and potentially re-invent, her connection with her surroundings through the captured image.
